About This Product
Using vertical bars on the back and horizontal ones on the seat is deliberate: on the back they run parallel to the spine, so no single bar presses along the backbone; on the seat the horizontal arrangement supports the thigh across rather than along its length. The two directions answer different loads. The rounded back panel also gathers the shoulders slightly from the sides, giving lateral support a flat panel cannot.
