About This Product
Wrapping the rope horizontally gives a more closed surface than diagonal or lattice weaves: the back both breaks the wind and softens the texture pressed into it when leaned on. The wraps following the curve along its length emphasise the form with lines — from behind, the chair carries a horizontal rhythm. Despite the closed surface, air passes between the ropes, so the back does not hold heat like a fabric-covered panel.
