About This Product
Setting a cylindrical pad at waist height supports differently from a flat back panel: the load falls into the hollow of the lower back rather than the shoulder, tuning the chair to continuous sitting rather than a short stop. The brass ferrules at the leg ends look decorative but do work — the end of a timber leg is what takes the damp of a mop and the worst of the abrasion, and the ferrule breaks that contact and delays the leg end opening up over the years.
