About This Product
The vertical channels are there to emphasise the curve of the back: because they fan out along it, the form reads more clearly than it would under flat-stitched upholstery. Velvet reflecting light differently along its pile strengthens the effect — each channel appears in its own tone. The slim brass-toned frame sets a strong contrast against the dark velvet, so the chair is picked out by its own outline in dimly lit rooms.
